I went on a great girl trip with my friends Dawn and Erica to a beautiful place called Two Bunch Palms resort and spa.  It was wonderful and very relaxing.  How could it not be with the natural hot springs and the direction to all guests not to speak above a whisper.  This was just a beautiful flower found along our walking path.

It is Christmas in April in the Marsh household.  My great friend Leighanne wanted to do a christmas card photo shoot.......and here it is!  We had a great time at wind and sea, 500+ pictures later, Man I have got some good lookin friends.

The Chair

On Saturday we went out to do a Easter photo shoot with Ben and my niece Jenna.   This is the chair that I insist on lugging around to all of my shoots.  O.k. let's be honest, it is the chair that I make whom ever is with me lug around to the shoot!  This day I used it to stand on....in which it promptly sank into the sand.  Did I mention it is a kids chair?   Then there is the feat of trying to get a kid to sit in it long enough to take a stinkin cute photo.  But mostly, this is what "the chair" looks like.....empty.

So this is a photo shoot I did of Chris's band Arroyo at a gig in the brokers building downtown. It was an art show.  Since this blog was for adventures in photography I have posted these before and after pictures with a small confession.  At this stage of the game I do not consider myself a photographer, I think of myself as an editor.  Case in point.  I don't even really know how to operate my superlicious camera on anything but automatic mode.  SO!  I take a TON of pictures which is fun.....but then I get to come home and play on the computer in photoshop or iphoto!  Now that is the creative part, but also the EXTREMELY time consuming part.  So the top photo is the original photo with no edits and the bottom photo is the cropped, blurred, dodged/burned (what ever that means) highlighted low lighted shin ma gig shizzle and WAHLA! you have an incredibly cool picture of the 3 guitars lined up.  Anyway, the adventure continues.

I had a chance to shoot my good friend Adri's engagement photos yesterday.

It was SOOOOO much fun.  Have I mentioned how much I like taking pictures of big people?

First of all Adri and Daryl are incredibly sweet, funny and Oh so photogenic.  They both acted like a couple of super models (not the stuck up high maintenance kind)  So 461 pictures and a dead battery pack later we called it a wrap.  It was very hard to choose my favorites. The lighting was incredible at Balboa park but here are the first ones I chose.  I will probably post more once I get through the editing.  Thanks Adri and Daryl for a great day!
